Daman Murmu, the tribal of a village of West Bengal named Mahanandapur, was living like other landless tribal labours. Daman moves from one place to another with the age old puppet show -'Chadar Badani', the puppet pieces of which are made by the artist inside him. This satisfies his artistic zeal as well as helps him to make ends meet. Today Daman and 'Chadar Badani' are not two separate beings. They are merged into one and carrying on the sorrow, pain and joy of tribal life. Daman Murmu wishes his grandson, the face of the future generation , shall keep his tradition alive.
